Easy Holiday Salmon Pate

Published by Carolin on Tagged Appetizer

It is still tis the season. I know that it is a busy time of year for a lot of us. I know it has been for me and this is the reason I haven’t been able to get a new recipe to you. But here I am and I know everyone wants easy quick recipes. Well today is going to be no different; I am going to share a recipe that you can have done in 5 minutes. It is a salmon pate. I love pates and spreads. They can look so eloquent but be so easy to prepare. I see a lot of pate recipes that call for way to many ingredients. It is just not necessary.

One thing that I do find important with pates or spreads is what you serve them with. I like to serve them with a nice almost rustic type of cracker or flat bread. Instead of the usual crackers go with something a bit more rustic. To me it really makes a difference. So try this recipe and get some good crackers and I know you will impress who ever you serve it to. Even if it is yourself.

Salmon Pate

1 container soft cream cheese
2 tsp grated onion
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp horseradish
1 7oz can of salmon drained and bones removed
1 tsp lemon juice

Blend together, let stand in the fridge for an hour so the flavors can merry.

How easy is that.

COOKING TIP OF THE DAY

For a more festive look use green onions finely chopped and a little bit of red pepper finely chopped.
